Step 16Make the Straps
-Take 3 sheets of newsprint and stack them on top of each other.
-Fold up the edge 1 inch and crease.
-Fold this edge over again and crease it.
-Fold it up 3 more times, creasing each time.
-Cut this folded piece off from the rest of the newspaper sheet.
-Make a second folded piece just like this one.
-Sew each of these strap pieces 1/4 inch from the edge of the fold along either side, and down the middle as well.
-Fold up the edge 1 inch and crease.

-Fold it up 3 more times, creasing each time.
-Cut this folded piece off from the rest of the newspaper sheet.

I wonder if it is possible to shape the bodice so that it is strapless? Maybe fashion tape or something. The straps could also be nice id done i lace i suppose...

Probably! It's stiff enough that it would probably hold itself up pretty well. You might have to be extra careful when sewing the top of the bodice, to make sure it doesn't stick out in front of your chest.
