Congratulations, you have made an amazing dress completely out of newspaper!

To wear the dress, first put on the petticoat. Then, have a friend help you fasten the bodice over the petticoat. Lastly, put on the waistband over the bodice.

This dress can be just worn as a very interesting party dress, or can be incorporated into a number of different costumes.

Some ideas:

--The Old Gray Lady
-A nickname for the New York Times, this makes a perfect outfit for going as the New York Times personified. Do spooky gray makeup and weird gray hair.

--The Death of the Newspaper
-Do zombie makeup and make a nametag of a recently discontinued newspaper and go as a newspaper come back from the dead.

--The Recycling Fairy
-Add some wings and some glittery makeup and you are the perfect eco-fairy.

--A Project Runway contestant
-Pretend you're wearing your fashionable Newspaper outfit from this season's Project Runway.

--As the basis for any costume that requires a fancy dress. Add some paint and sequins and you could be an awesome, recycled rendition of any princess or queen.

I created an idea of being a music fairy with this kind of concept by using sheet music! :)

I'd love to see that! I play violin, and it would be so cool for me to make one also! Maybe make it all of one song, then get a mini recorder that plays the song and stick it somewhere in the dress?

Wow, that's amazing how you took the Sunday paper and made it into a dress that looks better than much of what you see in stores these days. Have you thought about making yourself one out of fabric too?
I agree that a matching newspaper suit for a guy would be pretty neat - great for a couple to wear out to a party, formal event, or perhaps just an evening out.
The Gray Lady pictures are a little scary, but you're very pretty in the color ones :)

THis would be really cool if it had a matching suit to go with it! The dress is amazing but I'm a guy, so the closest thing to this would be a really cool suit from newspaper

I like this, a lot. What would happen if you made the petticoat by pleating the newspaper instead of just scrunching it? I like the volume of the scrunching, but I'm not sure about the difference in the textures, or the fact that you can see all of the advertisements in all their glory. : )

I absolutely LOVE this.  I was designing a dress out of fused grocery bags today, but this is truly awesome.  Have you considered replicating this in fabric?

I LOVE this.  I'd love to make this and you make it sound so easy.  However, I had trouble sewing a binding onto a blanket, so maybe this project will have to wait till I can sew straight.  Nevertheless, I LOVE this and wish I had such a dress, not that I ever even wear dresses, but I would this one.
