You can coil your cable inside the box to reduce unwanted wires.

If you have trouble keeping it closed try to bend the cable that comes out of the ipod end plug so that it doesn't push against the other shell and it should stay shut.

I used the Ipod desk mat to prevent slipping.

you could also use paint to cover the inside of the case and hide the wires, that way you can personalize it with your own colors and patterns/images. Or you could line with fabric or paper (colored/pics). A lil paint or spray adhesive goes a long way heh, great idea with the recycling, I may do the same thing with mine now thanks for the idea!
