This was fun to make and tasty to eat when finished. I have not included the finished product because I personalized it a bit more with names and such, but I can tell you that my girl friend was VERY IMPRESSED. I have made her some pretty cool stuff too in the past.

This will make a great Valentine's Day gift that's inexpensive, thoughtful, and not too difficult to make.

This is not a step-by-step guide but more of a guide with tips for your own construction of candy lingerie. I have provided pictures and tips for inspiration. My design is based off of some Victoria's Secret style bikinis that will fit any person since it is not made to size! You just tie at the waist for the G-string and tie at the top (halter top style?) for the bra.

Supplies :
-Long wiry candy. (like Twizzlers) In my project, I used Redvines Licorice Peelable version. because I think it tastes way better. 1 movie theater size box was enough for my thinner girlfriend since each Vine was peelable into about 5 strips. Buy two just in case.
-Life Savers Gummis: I bought one small bag and it was enough for decorations.
-Cake writing gel: A small tube that you can find in the cake section for writing and decorating. Warning: It doesn't really dry fast or very well.
-Fruit roll ups: Some kind of flat semi sticky thin candy to be used for the bra and underwear coverage. I bought 5 rolls just to be safe.

Total Cost: ~$10.00 or less!

Equipment :
-Wax Paper: to be used as a working space and cover for your lingerie
-Microwave: to be used to soften candy if it is hard to peel.

Total Time: 4-5 hours including shopping and preparation. But if you're using this guide I am sure the process will be WAYY FASTER and can be done in less than an hour if you're in a rush.

Step 1Step 1: Peeling the strips

Step 1: Peeling the strips
What comes to my mind is that you have two immediate choices for making the outline of the bra and underwear: Red Vines Super Strings version or Twizzlers.

I chose the Red Vines because I don't like the taste of Twizzlers and Twizzlers also look sticky, which just can be messy overall.

Down below are some tips if you choose the Red Vines:
-If the candy is stiff and/or is very hard to peel. You can microwave a batch for about 20 seconds or a little more. This will soften it up and make it way faster to peel.
-The outer strips will be thinner from the most inner strips. I separated these into two piles. The thicker strips I used for the construction of all the triangle pieces which are the front of the g-string and the cups of the bra. The thinner strips are used for everything else like the waist band and bra straps.

You will probably need to peel from 3/4 of all SuperStrings in the package for LOTS of strips. But, you can do this process as you move along this Instructable.
