Introduction: Shooting in RAW With CHDK for Beginners

About: Field Guide for the Millennial Man

In this video I will explain what settings you need to have inorder to shoot in a RAW file format using CHDK.  I will also show you a comparison between JPEG and RAW pictures.  RAW files are much larger and contain much more information compared to JPEG.  Professional photographers like RAW files because they capture a picture in its purest form like a digital negative.  Remember those little black rolls of film back in the day?  They were called negatives.  RAW pictures are like having the highest quality master or negative.  JPEG's take up less memory than RAW files and your camera can process JPEG's faster.
