Sew yourself a shirt out of crazy fabric; dance all night.

Step 1: Cut Apart an Old Tee Shirt

Find a tee shirt that fits you. Cut it apart at the seems. Most tee shirts are made from a tube of fabric, so in addition to the seems, make two cuts straight down from the armpits.

Step 2: Cut Fabric From Your Patterns

Using the pieces of the tee shirt as a pattern, cut out pieces of fabric. Add a seam allowance if you want the fit to be identical to the old tee shirt.

I wanted my silver shirt a little tighter, so I didn't bother with a seam allowance.

Step 3: Hem the Edges

Hem all the exposed edges.

Step 4: Sew the Pieces Together

Sew the front panel to the back panel. Sew the sleeves into tubes. Pin the sleeves to the front and back panels in the proper position and sew each sleeve to the body followed by sewing straight down from the armpit.

Step 5: Try It On

Try it on. If it fits, carefully trim all the dangling treads.

Step 6: Rock Out!

Drive a million miles out to the middle of nowhere. Make sure there's a lot of dust -- fine alkaline dust if possible. Dance all night.

Not only does this silver shirt perfect my 1980's German Industrialist costume, but it also deflects laser beams!
