What is a bot? Is it an abbreviation for robot? Perhaps. You could say that. I, on the other hand, like to think of a bot as an abbreviated robot. It is more like a proto-robot. Something that starts to take on the autonomous nature of a robot, but hasn't quite yet evolved complex digital logic.
With this in mind, I set out to make a series of Simple Bots based on the following guidelines:
- It needs to be able to be quickly and easily manufactured with readily available items.
- It needs to be easily understood.
- It needs to be mobile.
- It needs to be autonomous.
- It needs to be built in such a way that it can later incorporate more complex logic and/or be used as a fundamental element of a more complex organism.

You had some other bots at the Maker Faire, including a very simple one with 2 CDs and two servos, a walking brush bot that might be related to your walker. My daughter loved them both and wants to make them. Any instructables for them? Or should I just guess?
I finally got around to making photo slideshows of my "EasyBots", and what's more, I won third prize in the I Made It photo contest with the GrubBot! The bots were a lot of fun to make.
