Introduction: Simple Easy Earphone, Headphone Holder

Don't you just HATE it when you toss your earphones or headphones on your desk, and the next time you come get them, they're all tangled up. It's like some tangling troll wizard zapped them in the brief seconds you were gone.

No one wants to spend 5 minute untangling their headphones!

Luckily  you can easily install this Earphone/Headphone Holder that only involves a few paperclips, a bit of paper, and some tape!

Step 1: Materials

You will need:

-10 paper clips of desirable size (the bigger the paper clip, the bigger the headphones it can hold)
-A sheet of paper (decorated or not)
-Scissors
-Tape

Step 2: Bending the Paperclips

A paperclip has three bends, the bigger bend (with a hook), the smaller bend, and the bend in the middle.

1. bend the bigger bend into a 90 degree angle.

2. bend the middle bend into a 90 degree angle. (Leave the small bend)

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with ten paperclips.

Step 3: Taping the Paperclips

Place all ten paperclips next to each-other and try not to make them overlap or clump together. Afterwards, tape them together.

Make sure you tape inside the smaller bend.

Also, you can clump the the side opposite the small bend.

Step 4: Making It Look PRETTY!

Cover the entire structure with paper. You can decorate the paper before or after this step. Try to use the minimum amount of paper possible.

The smaller bend can be covered with paper, I just choose not to. There is a certain elegance to the fusion of simple paper and metal meeting at a clean junction.

Step 5: Taping the Structure to a Wall

To finish the hanger off, I recommend taping the structure to a wall.

Use 2-3 strips of tape under the bend to tape the structure to the wall.

Then on either side of these strips, use 1-2 more strips of tape to hold down the previous strips by taping them down perpendicular to the previous ones. A sort of H shape should be created with the tape.

Enjoy!
