Introduction: Kool-Aid Lipstick!

About: I'm a mother of two small boys (who are fantastic!!) and a wife who loves life and living! I am the luckiest person I know when it comes to the small and wonderful things in life! I had a rocky childhood that …

Summer is a fantastic time to show off what you had to hide all winter but if you’re like me you may need a little help finding it again. Here are some amazing little known tricks to have you back on top of your summer fun games!

Step 1: Your Needs

Here are the items you will need for the following beauty tips/tricks:
For the lips:
• One packet of red colored Kool-Aid
• Small container for mixing (I used a clean baby food glass jar)
• Small applicator or q-tip
• A teaspoon of water (We will only use half a teaspoon though)

Step 2: Open & Pour!!

Here’s the short and simple instructable for your long lasting red stain lip color:

Open your packet of Kool-Aid and pour it into your container.

I used a clean baby food jar that I can close and refrigerate for later use as paint or such medium in another project. You can also use this on your hair for a temp. hair dye. I did this in middle school and it washed out after a week or two. Use your own judgment though. I usually do not reuse any unused product on my skin or mouth after it has been put up.

Tip- This is great for Halloween or a night out on the town.

Step 3: It's Time to Get Wet!

Add a couple drops of water into your container of Kool-Aid and mix with your teaspoon until all the Kool-Aid is wet.

You want the consistency to be thick so as to have a more intense red color.

Step 4: Time for a Taste Test...

Tip- You may want to add some sugar to this as it will be quite bitter. I have tried it both ways and in the end choose to just suffer without the extra sugar. It's like wearing those really sexy shoes that just KILL your feet!

Apply this Lip Stain with an applicator of some sort. I used a Q-Tip in this instructable. If you use your fingers you will have to explain to all your buds why you look like you just came from a murder scene!

I leave this on my lips for about 15 minutes then wipe off the excess. I also like to use some sort of sealant. Maybe a clear gloss or something close to it.

This is meant to be a stain and does not moisturize. You will want to do that bit on your own. I suggest trying it out before and then after to see which you like best.

Enjoy and have a fantastic adventure with your new, bitter red stained lips! That just gave me a cool idea! You could use this as a kiss deterrent! Creepy Bar Guys Beware!
