In this instructable, I'll show how to make a simple metal texture.

Step 1: Too Much Noise!

First of all, fill in your layer with a dark grey. Then go to Filter> noise> add noise, and play around with the settings.

Step 2: Blurry!

Then go to filter> Blur> motion blur. Again play around with the settings, although I normally like a diagonal blur.

Step 3: Light

Now go to filter> render> lighting effects. Tinker with the settings, there is no certain way of doing this.

Step 4: Et Voila!

Your metal texture! Now go ahead and make it fancy!
how do you get the text like that?
most likely he made it the same way as the metal but with slanted text.
looks like theres also a bevel and emboss on it.
