Step 3: Add glue.

Just add a small dab of glue to the bottom of the petal to hold the shape you want.
Here is the one I did. Looks cool, huh?
<p>so pretty! I really like the little &quot;vase&quot; too. :) great job.</p>
<p>Yes but I think it could be more coloured. But I think it is great</p>
<p>well, haha lovely tutorial! I just got messed up on the glue parts :) Made a small version actually, lol. Beautiful flowers everyone made. I'm definitely going to do these for my friend!!!</p>
<p>Ace. I have an upcoming wedding (not mine) I might use this technique for decoration. Thanks ! </p>
Waoww! This is so amazing!
<p>this is so cool</p>
<p>I failed miserably :(</p>
<p>I really cute idea would be to do them with book pages. and then dip the edges in some paint or water color. Can I do these for school competition? They are really easy to make, easiest and best instructions I've seen. </p>
<p>Wonderful instruction...glad I happened upon this.</p>
<p>These were mine. I didn't worry about stems at all, and just had them finishing flush with the wire which I thought looked really neat.<br>To start them off, I made a small oval in the end of the wire before rolling the first petal on, and used hot glue to ensure that everything would stick.<br>I think they looked great, and using the extra-bright paper and mounting them in a wine glass really made them look pretty special!</p>
<p>wow..it looks amazing..:)</p>
<p>Hey it looks so real, and procedure look so easy to follow. let me try it myself.</p><p>Thanks for sharing</p>
<p>WOw!!!!. its awesome,realistic,fantastic, BEATIFUL!!!!</p><p>now ihave a new craft to my list .</p>
<p>wow!!!!...awesoome,realistic,beautiful,fantastic!!!!</p><p>here is a new thin on my craft list</p>
I use Aleen's Turbo Tacky Glue, it works fast so you can just keep adding your petals without stopping! And the coffee filters work great, I dip mine in water based paint thinned with water, tinted to whatever color I want to mix up! Also I buy the fake rose bunches at Walmart &amp; remove the roses, replace them with mine &amp; spray them with a favorite perfume! Thanks for this great Instructable! I've really enjoyed making &amp; giving these roses. Here's 3 of the roses I've made.
<p>Wow! Lovely! Thanks for sharing.</p>
<p>it was so very realistic that my eyes can't believe this anymore......truly appreciable...:)</p>
<p>might add pebbles in the bottle too</p>
great idea.... easy to do. Mine came out brilliant. thanks so much :)
You should add a template for the petals :3
im going to make some of these with music sheets...
These flowers are very realistic and so stunning looking.!!!!! absolutely love them. The crumpling really makes a huge difference. WOW !!!Am bookmarking this and will make them sometime. Thanks a ton for sharing, Sweetie--- appreciate it
I really like the way u crumpled the leaves makes it look much prettier. I gave this one a shot &amp; put it in an old jar with some seashells....i love seashells :) <br> <br>
Mine sucks. :(
I can't do it! How do you add petals to the center blossom, to make it big and open?
I cannot for the life of me do these flowers. Mine come out teeeny tiny even after using two sheets of standard printer paper. They're no bigger than my thumb actually. How big do you make your petals?
make them about twice the size of a quarter
I have lots of old sheet music laying around. Guess what it's gonna become?
These are so beautiful! I have been trying to find something to do for a bouquet at my wedding (62 days to go!!!!!) and now I know!<br>Out of curiosity, how many petals did you find you used per flower?<br>I am going to try to make mine out of the pages of an old book. I may also paint a few. I'll let you know how it turns out!<br>This is an awesome instructable!
I did 6 for my GF and she loved them :]<br><br>Didn't take a picture, but I'll try to get one :D
This is a great instructable! Very clear pictures, simple steps, and it uses things I already have around the house. Using your paper flower technique and a little personal creativity I made this awesome bouquet for my friend's birthday. Thanks for posting this project up :)
That is SO gorgeous. Really plays up the best parts of this gorgeous instructable, with a flair of your creativity in it, too! How did you get those lovely gradients on the petals?
Thanks! After making the flowers, I brushed them very lightly with watercolors, so that they got an even balance of colored and white splashes.
So amazing and so easy! Love this!<br><br>I made one for my mom and painted it with nail polish. (:<br>
you just blew my mind.
its amazing incredible no words to say

sorry i guess im just slow, but how do you get the petals to wrap around like that? mine all look really really stupid?<br><br><br>oh and fyi, your flowers look amazing!!!!!!
im tryin it right now and i know exactly how you feel...and im crumpling the heck outa them
Maybe your not crumpling them enough?
Im gonna make a dozen for my girlfriend!
One of the best instructables ever. I am in the process of making a bouquet and I am so surprised on how real these flowers look.
Thank you for an amazing instructable!
Reminds me of the dust tape rose...only not duct tape. I find the rose looks more real if you glue a thin roll of paper after every four-or-so petals, making the rose thicker at the stem, rather than a cone shape. Very nice!
That sounds like a great idea =)
