ok get rid of the candle and use some copper wire to make a wick holder put a small peice of wick in it, fill the can bottom with the coil, with alcahol wait for the wick to soak it up and light. it burns hotter than a candle

A few years ago I bought a tiny toy steam boat that uses the same principle from a fair. Makes an incredible sound and moves at nice pace.
