Simple Wine Making (Huckleberries)

Step 12I had to pour the berries into a bigger bowl.

I had to pour the berries into a bigger bowl.
The bigger bowl makes it harder to "chase" the berries around to squish them. The smaller bowl makes it harder to stir the ingredients up later. So two bowls are used.

You could use a "bean smoosher" *not the proper name, but that's what they use them for* to save yourself the bowl-swapping. They have a long handle attached perpendicularly to a circle with holes in it; covers a large surface area and makes most bean-shaped things *such as berries* into a gooey paste in no time. Most are made of plastic, so your glass is safe.
