Using a single piece of less than 3 ft of paracord you can make a heart shaped pendat necklace for Valentines day.
Fold the cord in half forming a bight.
Taking the right hand cord, make a counter-clockwise (CC) loop and lay the working end over the left cord parallel to each other.

Taking now the left cord, bight and tuck UNDER the first bight around and towards the back.....

Phase 2 of taking up slack....
Turn peice over with the larger side of the heart now on the right.
And repeat steps 10 - 12 to tighten opposite side.
Pull both bights through like so, leaving the lines coming out horizontally.
Take left cord (coming from behind) and follow (above) the cord in front so both are coming out the right side.
Turn piece over so that both are now on the left
Taking the lower of the 2 cords repeat the same procedure as in steps 15 and 16. Cords should be horizontal as in pic of step 15 (only now with the do...
Add a hitch to one side
Turn over and repeat same hitch.
Add whichever bend you choose to close it. I like double fishermans knot because its adjustable but any knot will do. Last thing to do is give it to a...
