Pictures of the progress of my Skin-On-Frame canoe

Step 1: Study Plans

What type of skin are you going to put on the boat?

Sorry it took me so long to reply, its going to have a Dacron skin. This is the same material used is some ultra-light or experimental aircraft

It might be an optical illusion, but your keel looks to be hogged. You should check to see if there is a curve in your keel since a hogged boat is no fun to paddle (doesn't turn well and inefficient in going straight). Sometimes you can make that go away if you pull the gunnels together after it is off the form. I'm not sure what the designer had in mind with that regard since I'm not familiar with their build process.

Having and using a boat is freeing. It allows you to go places that you could only dream about before... Welcome to the brotherhood.

I still have some bracing to add also, I will check that out though when I get home. Thanks for the heads up!

Unfortunately I am more and more addicted to the idea of using this one, I look forward to making more.
