Introduction: Sky-Monkey's Dream

About: I have a never-ending desire to try new things, build stuff, experiment, and learn. I don't really watch TV, or play video games - I prefer to get my entertainment from physically interacting with the world. I…

Beyond my love for inventing and making things that fly, I have always had a fondness for building, modifying, and improving things in general. Some day, I hope to make a living with these skills and by sharing these skills with others, as opposed to making a living to support my hobbies of making and inventing.

If I should be chosen to receive a prize in this contest, It will be put to use to help in the execution and publication of many projects, including the development of a new prototype personal aerial vehicle. Just as I am inspired and motivated by other makers around the world, I hope that I might some day inspire, motivate, and share the necessary skills with others so that they might some day tackle projects of their own.

I have always found pride in not allowing my lack of resources to prevent me from achieving my goals. Conversely, I honestly believe that I would be capable of completing projects more efficiently, and with a greater level of finish with additional resources.

Thanks for your interest in my projects, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the near future.

Hello, I'm Sky-Monkey

Ever since I can remember, I have dreamed of flying.

If you've seen my instructable on building a paramotor, you may think that my dream has come true.

To me, paramotoring is a great hobby and a lot of fun, however it doesn't quite fulfill all of what flying is like in my dreams.

Until a few key weaknesses are addressed, the paramotor and other ultralight aircraft will fall short of ever being practical vehicles.

The primary areas for improvement are top speed, ability to safely handle moderate wind levels, and convenience of take-off and landing.

There are currently a hand-full of groups and individuals around the world pushing the limits of personal flight. With each advancement and new development, the dream of a practical personal flight vehicle comes closer to being a reality.

My current project further pushes these limits with a small fixed wing single engine craft that is ultra compact and capable of reaching airspeeds above what modern paramotors perform.

My dreams of flight may seem far fetched to some, but I truly believe that it is up to us to create the future we ultimately want to see.

Thank you for watching, and I look forward to sharing more of my projects with the community.
