Bending plexi along an axis works best if you heat only the area to be bent. Heat guns or even torches (carefully) work great. To make a bend with a greater radius, just heat a wider swath. Heating in an oven seems like it'd leave you with a very floppy bit of stuff that is hard to bend at one discrete point, but I suppose you could place your piece on two separate bits of wood or metal with the edges at the bend point. and then bend the piece using those supports. But this seems unnecessarily difficult.
For a professional look, use a flame to polish the cut edges. Any kind of torch should do - if you are using a hotter torch, just hold it further away and move the flame faster over the surface. I'm guessing even a heat gun held close enough could do this but never tried.
For gluing plexi together, do not fire polish the edges to be glued and use proper plexi solvent in a needle bottle or syringe. It's cheap.
To polish and de-static plexiglas, use brillianize. Buffing wheels and polishing compounds can take scratches out.
Just find scraps and practice with whatever tools you're using for the job, and you'll do great.
I mean c'mon, its just a product. Dam.
I like apple, but i don't hate pc, its just another company. WHY must you hate the ipad? i mean be mature. Im fricken 14 and i can.
If you ask me, they could fix most, if not all of the iPad's shortcomings and keep it at the same price, and potentially make a perfect product, but they continually "add" features to their products and "make them better" each year just so they can keep selling their stuff and make more money by incrementally upgrading their products.
If they are getting close to making the product perfect, they just suddenly discontinue the line in question and start a brand new line to replace it.
