In the past, while searching in the pantry, for something I knew I had, I used to always end up singing the chorus from the U2 song "I still haven't found what I'm looking for."  All the stuff mixes up together and ends up looking the same.  Even worse, you can't even see what is towards the back.  With this organizer box, you can keep your shelves tidy by putting groups of similar items together and be able to find them when you need them.  Having similar items together in one box is very handy when baking, simply pull out the whole box that contains all the normal baking necessities, flour, sugar, baking powder, etc. and then put them all back at once, when finished.

Step 1: Materials

You will need one cardboard box to make two sloped sided organizer boxes.  I used disposable diaper boxes.  I know it is a contradiction that I am re-purposing the container of a disposable diaper when I could be using reusable diapers, but oh well.  If you can find a box that has the same depth of the shelf that you are wanting to organize, use it.

You will also need some tape.

Good Instructable. I make these boxes too. I also like to cover them with up-cycled gift wrapping paper (attach with glue stick or tape).

Simple, fast, cheap, and EFFECTIVE. You win my blue-ribbon of the week.

Solid-colored contact paper on the front will make them look really tidy.

Thank you for the blue ribbon! If I was going to be fancy, I would put big labels on the front, like "baking" "cleaning". Most times I can see what is in the box, but it would be handy for taller shelves, or shorter people.

Thanks again for the comment and blue ribbon,

Charles
