Introduction: Small 6 Volt Safe

About: i enjoy inventing, taking apart electronics, and rebuilding them. i also have a hobby of creating batch files, i greatly enjoy programming batch. i also enjoy coding and decoding binary code.

In this instructable i will show you how to make a hidden safe out of a small 6 volt battery. it is smaller, but looks better than my other battery safe.

Step 1: Step 1: Get Your Supplies

What you need:
Standard size 6 volt lantern battery
Knife
Wire cutters
Box
Gloves
Source of water

Step 2: Step 2: Start Scoring

Start by scoring the edges of the battery around the top with the knife to remove the glue.

Step 3: Step 3: Give It a Wack!

After scoring the battery, lightly smash itt against a table. Do this care fully so as not to crack the casing or the clips in the top of the cover.

Step 4: Step 4: Cut

Now cut the wires that are connected to the battery top.

Step 5: Step 5: Empty

Empty the battery contents into a box.

Step 6: Step 6: Cut

Now you should have a cross like piece of plastic attached to the sides. cut this out carefully. Make sure to be careful at the sides, it is easy to break the plastic. After it is done you should have something like in the second picture.

Step 7: Step 7 : Rinse

Now rinse out the battery for about 2 minutes.

Step 8: Step 8: Finish

Now you can put whatever you want into it, and put the cover back on, it shuld look normal.

Step 9: Step 9: Options

Now you can customize it. If you want to, add a holder for 4 AA batteries, and solder it to the terminals ( negative to negative, positive to positive ) so you can show it's "real". You could also modify the ciruit i used in my casset player safe mod, so when it opened a buzzer and/or lights would go off.

Step 10: Video

This is a video of the hidden safe, with some bonus content :) !
I also made a mistake, at the end i call it a 9 volt safe, it should be a 6 volt safe. Whoops!

Step 11: Thanks

Thank you for reading my instructable, please look at my other ones. feel free to leave any comments or suggestions... blah blah blah ...they are appreciated
