No T.V.?? No problem! Follow these easy steps to make your own Smartphone Projector for your dorm!

Step 1: BOX

For this DIY project, you'll need a cardboard box, a magnifying glass ($1 at Walmart/Dollar Store), duct tape, an x-acto knife (or a regular knife) and of course, a smartphone! Just follow the instructions in the pictures!

Step 2: TRACE

Step 3: CUT

Step 4: TAPE

Step 5: MORE TAPE

Step 6: SMARTPHONE

Step 7: SEAL BOX

Step 8: LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION

An image is inverted when it passes through a lens. So the smartphone has to display the image upside down for it to project right side up. You have to get an app that stops the smartphone from auto rotating the image.

This is cool, if worse comes to worse, my phone can be a 60" TV... Works for me.

Thanks for sharing.

Projection is not that BRIGHT

Need 1 more lens

hmm.. i'll have to try this. i have a really nice magnifying glass that might work well. tho i wish i could use something with faster speeds. :P

Fun project. Sure beats spending a lot of money to buy a projector.
