A simple yet elegant stand for your smartphone.

Step 1: Gather the Necessary Materials and Tools

Material: 1 length .125" Steel Wire

Tools: Wire Cutters, Pliers, Pack of Sugru

Time: 15 Minutes (+ 24-hour Sugru cure)

Skill Level: Easy

Sugru is not essential but it's pretty cool! And a nice addition to this bend.

Step 2: Bend

What you'll get before hand bending.

Step 3: Hand-Bend

We used round-nose pliers to bend both legs outward 90 degrees.

Step 4: Apply Sugru

Mold Sugru around wire for a non-slip coating and to protect your phone screen. One pack of Sugru was enough to coat two stands.

Great Job Man!! I made one here out of some cardboard

http://acarpenterslife.weebly.com/home/diy-phone-a...

further pics of my stripy design. Blue and Yellow. Still a great idea, thanks
I didn't follow the directions carefully, but after buying a stand where the base broke within a couple of days, I made an inspired effort with this. Of course I ordered what's called "Coolmorph" and have a few different colours of insulation tape so thought a stripy design would be good (not done yet) but find any derivative as clever as this project is cheap and likable. 10 out of 10!

nice
