Introduction: Soldering Gun Home Made

You will build a sordering machine with some easy isntruments

Step 1:

Open the mecanical pencil and take these two parts

Step 2:

Cut the straw, a little bigger than the pen stick, you will use the excess

Step 3:

Conect everything and make sure that isnt any holes, you can cover it with some tape

Step 4:

Roll the solder wire on the pen's stick

Step 5:

Take the wire and put it in the empty oldpen

Step 6:

Use the paper clip like this, than put some take to hold it

Step 7:

You will sold like this

Step 8:

Make sure the conection of the pen-straw-stick on the lighter, you can turn on with fire

Yeah, this is like a pen refil. More like the inner tube of a automatic pencil.

The plastic straw just conduces the gas, the tip is made of metal and its why it doesn´t melt (:

Looks like something Macgyver would make. Does it actually work? Because to solder something properly, you need to make contact with the part you're soldering. With this you would be dripping melted solder onto the project. I could see this working for plumbing since you soldering copper pipe joints. Cool idea though.
