To build a steadicam need

1. Flat piece of sheet metal with a length of 1 m and a width of 30mm.

Step 1: Adapter holder and counterweight

M6 nut hit with the force of a socket wrench 3/8 inch. Then arrange all screw washers in the stack, and assumes heat shrink. This is to look in the same way as in the picture.

Step 2: The main element of steadicam

Step 3: Rotating handle

Step 4: The camera bracket

Step 5: The camera bracket 2

After matching a piece of cork mat smear her modeling glue in the same way as in the picture and glue it to the top of the steadicam. After sticking the cork mat lined with pieces of wood and vice clamps. Leave for several hours to dry. Next step

Step 6: Installation of movable handle

Tighten the holding fixture put in the middle part of steadicam as in the picture and screw cap with pressed nut M6. Cap and cardan pasujądo each other and can be removed by fitting 1/4 inch. We combine the handle and move on. Next step

Step 7: Installation of counterweight

Counterweight to assemble using the screw with a hat with a length of 60mm and screw cap with ears. The counterweight is adjustable over the entire length of the cut hole with a screw. <p>I made this, but I am not sure I can recommend it.<br><br> I found that there is some strange movements from the steadycam, that I think came from the cross coupling of the 2 axis from the Cardan-Joint. The 2 rotational axis of the Cardan-joint are slightly offset(1/8~1/4 in.), which when the handle are move or twisted, the camera will move unpredictably, I think it is because the CG shifts and don't align with one of those axis when the handle is moved... Think this will be better if it use a true Cardan-joint, then all 3 of the axis intersect at a point.</p><p></p>
