This smoothie holds a special place in my heart and is just as delicious in the summer as the winter. It also makes a fabulous base for more creative smoothies such as Carrot Cake or Zucchini Bread. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/2 frozen banana slices
- 2 or 3 ice cubes
- small handful of pitted dates
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon chai spice (recipe below)


Chai Spice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Materials
- blender or immersion blender
- tall chilled glass
- measuring cups and spoons
- small bowl

Step 1: Deliciousness...

Add the bananas, dates, ice cubes, almond milk, and chai spice to a chilled glass.

Step 2: Blend and Devour...


Finally, blend all the ingredients together and sprinkle some crunchy granola on top and drink it up!
The taste is very good.
