Introduction: Spicy Three-Pepper Quinoa
A delicious alternative to rice or potatoes, quinoa is an amazing, satisfying, choice that can be mixed into salads, paired with any main dish, added to soups, or eaten by the bowl full. This ancient super food is actually a seed and is filled with vitamins, minerals, and flavonoids that can boost your immune system while satisfying your palate. You will need:
1 Cup of Organic Tri-Color Quinoa
3 Cups of Water
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon White Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
(Adjust the spices to taste)
Step 1: Rinse Well
Prior to cooking, rinse your quinoa in cold water a couple of times to remove any loose particles.
Step 2: Add Quinoa
Add the rinsed quinoa and spices to boiling water. Lower the heat to a gentle simmer and cover. Cook for about 25 minutes or until the quinoa is tender. Enjoy alone, on a salad cold, or as a side dish. Spicy eating!
