Introduction: Spider-Man Cupcake Cake
Ingredients: box Betty Crocker SuperMoist white or yellow cake mix, Water, vegetable oil, and egg whites or eggs called for on cake mix box.
This "Spider-Man" cupcake cake arrangement works great at parties for people who absolutely LOVE Spider-Man. (like myself!)
Step 1: Preheat Oven
Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
Step 2: Bake
Make cake as directed on box for 24 cupcakes. You can use any cake mix you choose, I just love confetti!
Step 3: Cool
Bake as directed on box for cupcakes. Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
Step 4: Arrange
Draw up a sketch of "Spider Man" or print a face (mask) of "Spider-Man" from the internet. Looking at your sketch, or printed picture, shape your cupcakes in the form of "Spider-Man's" head. I used 22 cupcakes to completely get the form of the head.
Step 5: Frost
Using a spatula, spread red frosting (any brand you choose) over the cupcakes smoothing them neatly and gently so you don't crumble any of the cupcakes. Once frosted, use a butter knife to clean up the edges of "Spider-Man's" head. Next, draw on "Spider-Man's" eyes using black frosting gel. The eyes can be drawn like a backward and forward slanted letter "D"
Step 6: Serve
Lastly, using the black frosting gel, place a small dot in the center of "Spider-Man's" eyes and draw straight lines from the dot to the end of the head using the point as your guide. You will then use a "connect-the-dot" method and draw "curved" horizontal lines in between 2 straight lines. Add as many "curved" lines in each row as you would like. (You can model the lines in "Spider-Man's" face from your drawing or internet image)
Once you complete this task clean up any extra mess, serve, and enjoy!
