Introduction: 3-D Spiral Snowflake Hanging Decor

Picture of 3-D Spiral Snowflake Hanging Decor

Everyone has probably made the classic 2D cutout snowflake at some point in their lives, but this particular spiral snowflake requires a little more effort (it's worth it!). It's beautiful, simple, and a great decoration during the wintertime.

Step 1: Make Spirals

The spirals that make up the snowflake are pretty enough to be decorations by themselves. Follow steps 1-5 in this instructable I made to make a spiral: https://www.instructables.com/id/Hanging-Spiral-De...

. You'll need 6 or 8 for a complete snowflake.

Step 2: Glue Spirals Together

Start glueing the spirals together at the sides and the bottom corners. Hold them together for a minute or so to make sure the glue stays. Glue the 6th and final spiral to the first spiral to complete the circle and create a snowflake.

Step 3: Hang It Up!

Now, you should have a beautiful spiral snowflake, so this last step is optional if you don't want to be able to hang it up somewhere.

Pick any one of the snowflake spirals and punch a small hole in the top - make sure that you don't break the spiral though! String a piece of hemp or ribbon through the hole, tie a knot, and voila! A beautiful hanging snowflake decoration.
