Introduction: Sprinkling System

Our backyard has always been a weedy mess. We decided to put in a sprinkling system. It's a lot easier to do than you think.

Step 1: Pipes

You can buy PVC pipes and all the pars at Home Depot. They Aren't too expensive.
First plan out everything to know what you need.
You'll need PVC pipe.
Elbow an d such parts.
Primer and glue.
Trencher or shovels.
Funny pipe.
Sprinkler heads.
Tractor ( optional)

Step 2: Leveling and Trenching

You'll want it level and can borrow a skid steer from someone. You'll want to level it first. Then pick out rocks. After that dig trenches at least 6 inches deep.

Step 3: Lay the Pipe

Lay out your piping plan from earlier. Make sure you use the proper stuff and seal the pipes. Bury them and lay the wire for your valves. Put in the the funny pipe and test it. Plan the rest of the yard and get it done!

There is a lot more to it than just burying some pipe. You have to install with a grade and take into account freeze depth, pressure, head count, spray types, spray directions, etc. Most cities also require a permit, or installation by a certified tech.
