For this you'll need
1 1 liter sprite bottle ( it has to be sprite)
Water
1/4 cup of tide detergeant
2 UV type A leds
a nine volt
and a 550Ohm resistor

Step 2: The Cap

Picture of The Cap

Take the cap off the bottle and drill 2 holes the size of your leds and use super glue to glue them in place. Then solder the two leds in series and add the resistor.

Step 3: The Liquid

Add 1/4 of tide detergeant to the Bottle then fill the rest with tap water. Let the foam die down.

Step 4: Make It Work

screw the cap back on and use the nine volt to power the LEDS.

Step 5: Whats So Special?

Picture of Whats So Special?

Well sprite bottles are green and the bleach glows blue which creates a nice gradient of color between the too since the water is murky the light dies down.

sweet but even though its very simple it kinda lacks in the 'instruct" part of instructable

The instructions are minimal, but they are there- drill holes in the cap for the LEDs, glue them in, solder the LEDs in series, add the resistor, power them from the 9v battery, fill the bottle with 1/4 detergent and 3/4 water. What's lacking from that?

not much like the fact you could put a 9 volt opend so u have some coin cell batterys to useto save space and to have a switchon the top of the lid true u are right just wanted to add thins to what u said pro p.s how do u become a pro without paying?

PKM (author)james.mcglashan2009-06-26

You don't- that's the point of Pro memberships.
