Introduction: Stabilizing Tree Anchor

Picture of Stabilizing Tree Anchor

To stabilize a new tree and keep the wind from blowing damaging the trunk, all you need is a few strong rubber bands and a couple of sturdy tree stakes.

Step 1: 2 Rubber Band Chains

We used the rubber bands from broccoli and asparagus, tied together into 2 short chains of equal length.

Step 2: Connect to Tree Trunk

We then connected one end of each chain to the tree trunk using another rubber band.

Step 3: Attach to Tree Stake

We then stretched the other, loose end of each chain to the tree stake. And the tree is now stable.
