Stamped Disc Bracelet

I have been trying to dome aluminum from soft drink cans. My last three trys have resulted in the metal doming but also deforming, almost wrinkling. Looks like a half deflated mylar balloon. After watching your instructable I think I may know what I've been doing wrong. I used wooden dapping tools and the striker doesn't correspond size wise to the depressions in the block as the metal ones do. Thank yout

Thank you! It was really clear. I have never tried using ammonia to darken. Much easier than liver of sulpher.
