Step 1: What You Need
215 red pony beads
20 yellow pony beads
5 black pony beads
Step 2: Start!
Step 3: Second Row!
Put a red bead onto the long end of your string. Thread the string through, not the bead directly next to the one where the string comes out, but the one next to that. Add on another red bead and continue weaving red beads through every other bead. It should look like the picture. Tie it off with a knot.
Step 4: Third Row!
Step 5: Rows 4, 5, and 6
Row 5: Red all around, one yellow over your original yellows.
Row 6: Red all around, yellows over the ones you added in row 4. Tie off each row with a knot.
Step 6: Rows 7, 8, 9, and 10
Row 8: Yellows over the yellow beads from row 6, one black bead in between those.
Row 9: Red all around except for two black beads over the yellows in the middle you added in row 7.
Row 10: Yellows over the beads from row 8, including a yellow over the black bead. Tie off each row with a knot.
Step 7: Rows 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16
Row 12: One black bead to the right of the black bead from row 11. Red otherwise.
Row 13: Yellows over the beads from row 11. Red otherwise.
Row 14: One yellow in between the beads from row 13. Red otherwise.
Row 15: Red all around.
Row 16: One yellow over the one from row 14. Red otherwise. Tie off each row. Use several knots on the last row and cut off the extra string.
