Introduction: Stationery Box

A cute stationery box including cards, envelopes, gift tags, note cards, an address book, a pocket for stamps, and a pen.

Step 1: Materials

3 Pieces of Scrapbook Paper Cut Into: (See Publisher File Attached For Layout)
  • 12 "x 12" 
  • 8 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • 5 1/2" x 2"
  • 4 1/2" x 2"
  • 6 1/2" x 3 3/4" 
  • 2" x 3" 
  • 2" x 1 1/2"
  • 6" x 1 3/4" (2)
  • 2" x 1 3/4" (2)
  • 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" (5)
  • 3" x 6" (4)
One Piece of Cardstock Cut Into;
  • 10 1/8" x 6 1/8" 
Lined Paper Cut Into: 
  • 3 1/2" x 6" (6)
Small Hole Puncher
Brads
Pen
Sticky Strip™ or other strong adhesive
Scissors
Scoring Board and Tool
Paper Cutter
6 A2 Cards
6 A2 Envelopes
Stamp that says "friends"
Inks for stamps
5 Paper Tags
Fake Flower
Fake Pearl

Step 2:

Trim white edges from 3 pieces of scrapbook paper.

Step 3:

Score First page at 3" and 9".
Turn 90 degrees.
Score at 5" and 7".

Step 4:

Cut score lines (5" and 7") to other score lines (3" and 9").

Step 5:

Apply adhesive to the 3" x 2" flaps.
Fold over flaps and adhere.

Step 6:

Cut 1 3/4" off of each top flap.
Crease lines at the 3" and 9" folds.

Step 7:

Score the bottom flaps at 1" on each side.

Step 8:

Take a new piece of paper and cut a 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" rectangle.

Step 9:

Score this piece at 1 1/4" on two short sides and one long side.

Step 10:

Cut the corners.
Apply adhesive on edges.

Step 11:

Adhere three edges to the smaller flaps of previously used paper.
Trim corners for a better look.

Step 12:

From the third piece of paper, cut a 4 1/2" x 2" piece and a 5 1/2" x 2" piece.

Step 13:

Score these two pieces at 1/2" and 1" on two short sides.

Step 14:

Apply adhesive to the outermost flaps of these two pieces.
Apply adhesive to the next outermost flap of one of the pieces.

Step 15:

Adhere two pockets to first created pocket, set aside.

Step 16:

Cut out a 6 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece.
Score at 3 1/4" and 3 3/4" on the long side.
Set aside.

Step 17:

Cut off holes and margins from two or three pieces of lined paper.
Cut paper to 6 pieces of 6 1/2" x 3 3/4".

Step 18:

Fold these pieces in half and place them in the piece of scrapbook paper.
Note: Outside of this "book" should match outside of box.

Step 19:

Punch three holes through the edge of the book, making sure not to go past the 3 1/4" line.

Step 20:

Insert brads in each hole.
Apply glue to the back side on all edges.

Step 21:

Adhere book to bottom portion of box.

Step 22:

Cut out a 2" x 3" piece.

Step 23:

Score this piece at 1/2" on 2 short sides and 1 long side.
Trim the corners.

Step 24:

Apply adhesive and adhere to bottom portion of box.
(Upside down so contents won't spill when box is folded up)

Step 25:

Cut out a 1 1/2" x 2" piece and wrap around a pen.
Apply adhesive for closure and adhere to box under the notebook.

Step 26:

Cut out a 10 1/8" x 6 1/8" piece from the cardstock.

Step 27:

Score this piece at 2" on each side.

Step 28:

Cut off corners.
Cut on vertical score lines until matched with horizontal score lines.

Step 29:

Apply adhesive to triangles.
Fold inward to create a box.
This is the lid.

Step 30:

Cut out 2 pieces of 1 3/4" x 2".
Cut out 2 pieces of 6" x 2".

Step 31:

Apply adhesive to these four pieces (on side that doesn't match the outside of box).
Adhere to sides of lid.

Step 32:

Cut out 4 pieces of 3" x 6".
Fold them in half and place them in the medium pocket.

Step 33:

Place cards and envelopes in large pocket.

Step 34:

Cut out 5 pieces of 1 1/4" x 1 1/2".
Pictures are inaccurate. I didn't have the tags when I made this one. This is the main idea.

Step 35:

Adhere these pieces to the paper tags.
Picture shown shows my first idea, punching a hole in a piece of paper.
Place them in the small pocket.

Step 36:

Punch a piece of card stock.
Stamp "friends" or something nice onto it.
Apply adhesive and adhere to the address book (notebook).

Step 37:

Apply adhesive to the fake pearl and adhere to fake flower.
Adhere the flower to one of the long sides of the lid.

Step 38:

Fold up box and put on lid...
Voila!
