I must say, this is the greatest steampunk themed piece I've come across so far on instructables. From the finish to the irising lens, it's a masterpiece. You will have had this posted several times, and I appreciate you may not want to, but if you could make an instrucable for this marvelous contraption, I, and most likely the majority of instructables, would be greatly obliged.
You, sir, are a genius and an inspiration to me. Hopefully, when I have the time and the materials, I can try to imitate one of these and give goggle-making a shot myself. Kudos to the great work, and keep it up! :)
I have to say, after flipping through most of the creations you have posted, this has to be my favorite, I was wondering though, how much does it cost to make something like this?
This is one of my first craft of steampunk. I like it too, but today would make it better :) About the price. I've never sold my works, I do not know how much they cost. Thank you.
IMPRESIVE MOST IMPRESIVE. Very good work I applaude your paitiance. While I understand the metal working and have been inspired to build a pair. I would first ask your permition to do so. can you recomend a resorce for the leather work such as a book on how to do this kind of leather work? the meatal work is not a problem. I just havent worked with leather.
No problem. I hope you will show us their work. My experience with the leather, alas, is small, I probably would not be able to perform the role of advisor here. Just try it, it's easier than you think. Good luck.
Simply gorgeous work. I see a lot of steampunkers who dig the costume, but I know that Hackers/Makers/Tinkerers are the real deal who may actually need kick-butt goggles. If I could pick a set of goggles, yours would be the ones. Great job.
Do you use a lathe and/or mill to fabricate some of the pieces? little bolts and gears? Your work is really impressive, i cant stop watching all those goggles!
Hey Excellent work! Thank you very much for coming and sharing. Firstly, the youtube video you posted, you should be able to embed into the description of the slideshow.
Secondly, I really encourage you to make a full instructable, showing people how you made these!
i am both for and against the making of instructables for this, for the simple reason that it would often lack creativity in the reproductions people make. however i would prefer posting to say how to desighn and make goggles. and the basics of it without the full description. inspiring people to b more creative with it. instead of dozens of duplicates.
