Hi, your work is amazing! Just one question: How did you open up the clock barrel? Thanks

*NEWBIE HERE*
Where can I read the instruction here?
XD
Tomdf says: Nov 6, 2012. 1:53 PM
I've read and re-read this instructable at least a dozen times. I just love this design. So simple, so clean, so well executed. You da man, goggleman!

Hey gogglerman :)
i love your work but i´m not able to do this by myself...which means i could never creat such watch.
i´m from germany and now i asked myself wether you would sell one of these or not?!

Hi! Could you please send me a list of the included items aswell as the size of everything, because I would really want to make one of those!
churchslayer says: Sep 13, 2012. 3:47 PM
if you would be so kind as to give me a list of what was used as well as sizes i would really appreciate that
repguy2020 says: Jul 5, 2012. 2:10 AM
A genuine work of art, sir. Hats off to you.
florian94 says: Jun 23, 2012. 2:47 AM
Beginner's steampunk's question : how do you manage to cut the brass ? I understand that you use a template but then, what kind of tools do you use ?
If you know a tutorial for steampunk's art, it would be fine to give me the adress (for example I don't really understand the benefit/impact of using the propane gas...)

Thanks !
Florian

Hey gogglerman! I absolutely love this watch! May I ask from what clock you got your spring drum casing?
gogglerman (author) in reply to vnysonJun 18, 2012. 10:57 PM
Clock drum. Yes, this is it.
vnyson in reply to gogglermanJun 19, 2012. 11:59 AM
Yes, could you please tell me what kind of clock? A wall clock or a mantle? And what size was the plate, because I am having trouble finding the correct sized clock drum.

Thanks again!
gogglerman (author) in reply to vnysonJun 19, 2012. 9:09 PM
The diameter of the original drum-50mm. Watch the wall type their name and brand is not known as a drum was received by me in the form of scrap.

Which language do you speak then. If we translate our questions to your language, then it will be easier for you to respond and thus we can start building faster.
gogglerman (author) in reply to replicamasterJun 5, 2012. 4:37 AM
My native language is Russian.
I do not think that talking in Russian facilitate the task of us all :)
abeiam1357 says: May 14, 2012. 7:32 AM
About how long did it take to build it
gogglerman (author) in reply to abeiam1357May 14, 2012. 9:16 AM
To carry out this project, I spent about 60-70 hours.
hohotum says: May 8, 2012. 6:56 PM
Beautiful timepiece! Would you consider selling me a completed one?
KontaKt says: May 1, 2012. 6:53 AM
Can you please make a revised version with labels so it's easier to make?
gogglerman (author) in reply to KontaKtMay 1, 2012. 8:52 AM
Excuse me, but making more instructables would take a very long time, and would require me to the knowledge of English, which I do not have.
If you have technical questions not addressed here before, I'll try to answer them.
KontaKt in reply to gogglermanMay 1, 2012. 10:09 AM
So everything you say requires Google translate?
gogglerman (author) in reply to KontaKtMay 1, 2012. 10:21 AM
Yes, I use it sometimes.

If you are talking about these details, they are 12 pieces. Two on a petal.

If you are referring to these items, they are cut from 0.7 mm brass. Template here.

Hello Gogglerman! I recently posted an Instructable featuring my version of your Iris wrist watch and I wanted to personally thank you for the inspiration and give you credit for the design. You are a true artist!
gogglerman (author) in reply to ShadeStrideApr 17, 2012. 11:37 PM
Hi ShadeStride! Thank you for sharing. I am glad that my work inspired you to do so. I wish you success in your next project.
AudioMaximus says: Apr 12, 2012. 7:34 AM
Very cool! Instead of the pen tips, could you use rivets or something similar instead?
gogglerman (author) in reply to AudioMaximusApr 12, 2012. 7:45 AM
The design of the tip of the pen allows the installation of a strictly vertical axes of the holes in the petals. It seemed to me that this is a convenient and simple solution.
artefacter says: Dec 27, 2011. 10:00 AM
Your wrist watch has copied one of the imitators. This popularity. I congratulate you.

gogglerman (author) in reply to artefacterDec 27, 2011. 10:13 AM
Not bad! However, the author forgot to point out the prototype. Maybe he's just modest :)
Thank you.
artefacter in reply to gogglermanMar 29, 2012. 9:31 AM
You need to protect the copyrights of your work. A lot of imitators. Very, very much...
gogglerman (author) in reply to artefacterMar 29, 2012. 11:31 AM
This is the Internet. Honest people, repeating someone else's work, usually indicate "a source of inspiration." Someone forgot to name the author. It happens.
prushik in reply to gogglermanApr 7, 2012. 1:01 AM
I agree with you, however, your license does prohibit this behavior. If you don't mind people using your instructable and not giving you credit, then you should change your license to something more permissive.
gogglerman (author) in reply to prushikApr 7, 2012. 1:38 AM
Actually, I do not care what someone repeats my projects. However, it would be nice if these people just mentioned my humble name. Usually, the way decent people. This is a question of propriety, I think ))
Hoggster says: Mar 12, 2012. 11:54 AM
What is the thickness of the brass when the cam plate AND grooves are combined?
Hoggster says: Feb 9, 2012. 10:22 AM
How did you make the cam plate?
