Soft, sugary and an addicting taste, so why not try making your own?
these are easy, with simple household ingredients, without things like gelatin and corn syrup
just be prepared to see them disappear

i would love any questions, comments or photos if you make it :)

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need

75g butter

300ml condensed milk
175g white sugar (granulated sugar)
1 tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla essence

your also going to need

a medium saucepan
a spatula or wooden spoon
various measuring cups
a brownie or shortbread tin

Step 2: Stir, Stir..stir...stir...

get your saucepan, and melt the butter over low heat

once its melted add the condensed milk, sugar and golden syrup
then, still on low heat stir constantly until the mixture thickens, the sugar has dissolved and its gone a toffee-brown color

(this time i made the mistake of not letting it go Toffee-brown, it still tastes good but really really sticky!)

Step 3: Flavour

Take it off the heat and add the vanilla essance
for unusual flavors you could add lemon juice or peppermint essence

Step 4: Pour Into Tin

once your flavoring of choice has been added and mixed through

grease a brownie, shortbread etc tin with butter a lightly flavored oil or line with baking paper (uhh, waxed paper?)
the pour your mixture into tin (careful, it'll be hot) and scrap saucepan with a wooden spoon, rubber spatula, etc
at this stage you can mark it into squares with a non-serrated knife, but i don't bother

leave at room temperature to cool

(ewwww, the mist from the can makes my shirt look so dirty...)

Step 5: Ta'DA

once its cool carefully cut into squares and ENJOY!!!!!
warning- this stuff is sticky!!!

i can't say how long this stuff lasts as it is eaten within a day and a half of being made!
