You can program this Stripduino with the easy addition of a 6 pins (ISP) for use with a a 6-pin AVR Programmer Cable.

what should pins 2 and 6 on the isp be connected to? ground on the chip (pin 8) and vcc on the chip (pin 7) or left un connected? thanks again

Hello mate 2, and 6 on the ISP are VVC (+5v) and GND (ground), so don't have to be connected to anything, as long as the StripDuino is attached to a battery and the power light is on.
