Structural Quick Connection Joint System Prototype

This is a full scale prototype of a joint system that could find itself in any space frame system.  the connections between the ball and the aluminum tubing are friction based.  the goal of this joint was to introduce increased degrees of freedom allowing for countless configurations within the system.  The ball is 8 inches in diameter and the aluminum tubes are 2 inches in diameter.  the joint was design in rhino.
