Stylish Floating Wall Hat Rack

Stylish Floating Wall Hat Rack
Everyone loves a good hat. Well atleast, everyone can appreciate a good hat. Personally, I love fedoras. I have always wanted one of the classic wood standing hat stands. But the lack of shopping expertise(and money) prevents me.

So i came up with this solution

Step 1Tack it up!

Tack it up!
They key to this whole instructible is one thing!: Thumbtacks. Something may work for you, but i had these 3 hats on the floor, and had 3 thumbtacks, so it worked out.

So needed materials:
x Thumbstacks, where x= number of hats you need hanging
Hats, any hat, So far, this only works for fedoras, but let me know about other hats!

Unfortunately, my camera is currently refusing to focus on the tacks in my wall, i shall update asap, until then I will supply you with a stock photo.

Oh... I think I got the equation wrong... a = x - b + s½

With s = number of scarves hanging on the wall...

:)

Love the idea, I have baseball style caps packed away so I'll drag them out and show them off now.
If the hats are just for show, charity shops might be an option for finding affordable ones. (If you visit often and get friendly with the staff they might even put them aside for you).

Happy Hat hanging and hunting.
