Succulents in cans for an indoor plate garden

Step 1: Supplies needed

Supplies needed:
-succulents of your choosing (i got mine at lowes)
-plate (this is actually a stainless steel dog food "platter" that was on clearance, but any plate should be fine)
-cactus soil
-cans of various heights
-pebbles
-dremel or other drilling tool

Step 2: Drill holes

Fill bottoms of cans with pebbles for weight and drainage
Fill cans about half full with cactus soil

Step 4: Plant the succulents

Remove plastic pots and insert plant into can
Fill in around the plant and adjust height of soil if necessary
(succulents can be planted close together since they are slow growing)

Step 5: Finishing up

I wonder if this would qualify for the metal challenge. Otherwise it is too bad there isn't a "What to do with a used tin can" contest. This would make a good entry.
