Step 3: Dump the Cherry Pie Filling Into the Pan

[ Preheat oven to 350ºF ]

Step 4: Dump the Crushed Pineapple Into the Pan

Open the can of Crushed Pineapple and dump it into the pan.  Do NOT drain it, dump the entire contents including the juice into the pan. Use the spatula to get out every last drop. :-)

Step 5: Mix Together

Take the spatula or a spoon and mix the cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple together in the baking pan until they are well mixed.  Made sure the mixture is evenly distributed and level in the baking pan.

Step 6: Sprinkle on the Cake Mix

Carefully sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the cherry pineapple mixture in the baking pan.  Do NOT mix in.

Gently smooth and level the mix so it is evenly distributed over the surface of the mixture.  Made sure the cake mix meets the edge of the pan on all sides.

Step 7: Top With Sliced Butter

Take the 1/4 pound stick of butter out of the refrigerator and use the sharp knife to slice it into thin pads, about 1/16 of an inch thick.

Layer the pads of butter evenly over the entire surface of the cake mix.  There will be gaps between the pads.

Step 8: Sprinkle on 1 Cup Chopped Pecans

Take the sharp knife and chop up the pecans into a size to your liking.  Sprinkle 1 Cup of chopped Pecans evenly over the 'buttered' surface of the mixture.

Step 9: Bake at 350ºF for 45 Minutes to 1 Hour

Place the pan of prepared mixture into the preheated oven and Bake at 350ºF for 45 minutes to one hour until top is golden brown.

Step 10: Cool, Serve and Enjoy!

Use hot pads to remove the pan of Cherry Cobbler from the oven and onto a cooling rack.  Cool slightly.   Use the Pancake turner to cut out squares and serve warm.

Vanilla ice cream goes very well with this dessert.

Enjoy!
