The ingredients are:
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 lemons juice
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp grated lemon rind
Combine 1/4 cup flour and lemon juice; set in a warm place stirring occasionally. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternating and starting with milk. stir in lemon rind. Bake approximately 60 minutes at 350F. Leave in pan or sit on rack. Pour lemon juice slowly over loaf while hot
