video Support A Bottle With Just A Sheet of Paper
Turn a flimsy 6g piece of paper into a heavy weight that will support more than 170 times its own weight. Just change its shape with a few folds and you'll be amazed how you can amaze your less science savvy friends.

Does it work without a cd case? It seems that it helps to divide the weight of the wine bottle.

I tried first it without the CD case and the paper held up the bottle fine, a flat base helps to spread the load across the paper ridges. I also used a beer mat between the bottle and paper and that worked well.

the CD case overlaps the bridge! the paper is useless!

i agree! remove the paper amd you will have the same result!

As mentioned above I initially experimented with a beer mat between the bottle and paper which did not span the gap and the paper held. I eventually used the CD case purely because it seemed more "visible" in the video.

That's awesome! Great video, that was cool how it held the CD case and the bottle..
