Parachute cord, or para cord is versatile and user friendly. I would like to suggest trying different colors, mixes, and uses (such as dog collars etc.) Have fun and share the knowledge. By the way check out The Ashley Book of Knots. Very descriptive and useful book.
Wo! The autors name is ashley? Poor guy :S jaja I liked your instructable, keep on like that. BTW: I did not understood your explanation xD, so I figured it out
The center and out side are different pieces btw, then take two different colored pieces with the same length. Now i myself tie a square knot and begin the braid, then i undo the square knot and cut and melt down the ends, but this will end with four burnt ends. I have seen people slide on piece a little into the other and melt it together. i think the way i do it is easier though. If your still not sure ask some more. I will try to post instructions when i get a chance
