You should be confident, your pictures are clear and directions well worded.  It looks good.  I know what you mean about the being a guy part, it threw me off at first too.  I gave one to a male friend of mine and then kind of looked at him like, I'm not gay or anything.... Not saying there is anything wrong with that.  But given that the bracelet I gave him was in Camo color he didn't think anything of it and had me make him one for his girlfriend.  I haven't made one in sometime because I have been busy, but again thanks for the post.

awesome instructable!! I made a few of these and a belt for myself. now my friends and family all want one. where do you get your buckles? I've been using ones I found around the house and a few are a bit big. The quick release weave is genius!

I have a simple question. I make these all the time with the kind cobra. I have found that when i use the 5/8 buckles they i do just fine. Well the other day i was approached by a young girl who asked me to make her one using two colors but a small one just the cobra stitch. I took one blue colored strand and used that as my core the i melted the two colors she wanted in the stitch together. i did a larks head knot on the one side to begin with and it was going well until i got to the end. I had to use the center cord which is one peace folded in half for the middle core. I had to find a way to loop it back to the other half of the side release buckle. I tired for hours trying every which knot i could think of to finish it off. If any one knows a good way to approach this i would like to know it. I see in your pictures you have made lots of these any advice?

I agree, I already know how to make the bracelet, it's how to attach the buckle that is confusing.

I've spent a little bit of time making a few paracord bands plus a belt using the pattern shown above. I use a cow hitch knot to anchor the cords, but when I get to the end I just start looping and tying simle knots. I'm a soldier and when I've ever needed cord I didn't want to waste my time going for that emergency cord by untying knots, I just whip out a knife and cut the melted seal then start unweaving the bracelet. I attached an front view of my belt which I just tucked the cord all in and around the buckle until I felt satisfied with the look, which I don't think is too bad. Little food for thought...

I think it's because it's convenient to have around and you will always have a length of strong rope should you need some.
