You will need: a good sized apple a sharp paring knife and a cutting board
Cut off one side of the apple (as shown). This will be the head and neck.
Cut a wedge about the size of a quarter of the apple about 1/2 an inch from the center.
Cut a smaller wedge out of the one you just cut leaving about a quarter of an inch of the first wedge.
