After making the simple double heart ring I kept wondering how to make a swirly double heart ring!

I couldn't resist, I had to give it a try, though it didn't turn out to be as cute as the simple one but I was happy to post another swirly tutorial :)

Step 1: Materials Needed

To make this ring you'll need:
  1.  Craft wire - 18-20 gauge,
  2. Jewelry pliers,
  3. Ruler,
  4. Mandrel.

Step 2: The First Heart

Hold the wire from one end, do not cut it from the bundle,
Keep 6 cm of the wire straight on that end,
Take the looping plier and make a loop leaving the 6 cm of the wire straight,
Circle the wire 2-3 times around that loop to create a swirly pattern,

Now make another loop adjacent to the created swirl, by winding the wire in the opposite direction of the previous one (see picture),
Again circle the wire around the loop 2-3 times to create another swirl,

Hold the straight parts together of the wire from both sides, adjust them to make a heart shape,
Coil the extra wire around the other straight part, cut off extra if needed (after coiling).

Step 3: Measuring Ring Size

After making the first heart measure the ring size,

Measure the straight part of the wire, including the wrapped end.
Mark the ring size on the wire,
Make the next heart by bending the wire on the marked area.

Remember that the ring size should include the straight part and any one heart.

Step 4: Second Heart

For the second heart make the outer loop first, then carefully circle the wire inside that loop to create swirl,
Flip the swirled wire horizontally,
Now make a small loop and circle the wire around that loop 2-3 times to create swirl.

Hold the straight parts of the wire together from both sides, adjust them to make a heart shape,
Coil the extra wire around the other straight part, cut off extra if needed after coiling.

Step 5: Completing the Ring

First wrap the straight part of the ring around then the hearts around mandrel.
Adjust and press the hearts to give them a smooth round shape.

Wear it and Enjoy!
