Introduction: Taco in a Bag

About: I am a Middle School Technology Education teacher in southern Wisconsin.

I love tacos.  I think I could eat tacos all day every day.  This instructable will teach you a new trick on awesome treat.

Ingredients:

Cooking spray
1lb of beef or chicken or turkey
Lettuce
Cheese
tomato
Sour Cream
1 pack of taco seasoning
Taco sause
small bag of chips - Fritos (are Fritos chips?) or Doritos

Materials:
Frying pan
food processor or cheese grater
Knife
fork
Pringles can or something in which to drain the grease

I will start with the process of making the taco meat.  I don't do anything unusual, so if you know how to do this already you can skip ahead to the 4th step.

Step 1: Brown the Meat

Turn on the range top to medium.  Spray frying pan with cooking oil and place on burner.  Place the meat into the pan and start mashing.  I use a fork to mash the meat until it is all cooked.  This keeps the meat small prevents large clumps of meat

Step 2: Drain the Grease

With the lid of the frying pan, drain the grease into the Pringles can.  Return the pan to the burner.

Add the taso seasoning to the meat and 3/4 cup of water.

Stir until seasoning is completely mixed in.  Let cooking until most of the water has boiled off.

Step 3: Prepare Other Ingredients

While the water is boiling off, grate the cheese, cut tomatos, and prepare lettuce.

Step 4: Crush Those Chips

Take a sealed bag of chips and crush them into little, tiny pieces.  Remove meat from burner.  Spoon the meat into the bag of chips followed by whatever else you like to have with your taco.

Congrats, you just made yourself aTaco-in-a-Bag aka Walking Taco.

Enjoy!
