Wrap tape around the card until you have something that looks like the picture. Use as much as you are comfortable carrying in your wallet.
If you want to get maximum tape for the thickness, wrap lengthwise not width-wise, though this will limit your versatility and upgrade capabilities.
I originally used about twelve feet. By the time the picture is taken (seven months) I'm down to about five (I use it extremely sparingly, and re-use what I can) The age is the reason for the overall grunginess and lint collection.
