And your little ol' water bottle there would only be good for a couple of hours down here in Oz; (personally, I made the mistake of carrying too small a water-bottle when I was a teenager starting out..).
While I trust you also have a hat and sunnies with you, I would have also included them on the list..
(And: sunscreen and insect repellant should be essentials, especially in summer..).
Also, i finally got me a knife.
Good call on the sunscreen though! I am always forgetting it, Though I do never go on any adventure without my hat, bandanna, and sunglasses!
Insect repellent is a good call too, though I'm going to have to search around for one that won't break me out in hives personally. ;0)
I think a revisement is in need of this instructable.
That or make a whole new one for what I take on heavy hikes, or ones where I really could stand a chance of getting lost.
The places I go hiking on light trips aren't far from civilization at all, though you still could stand a chance of getting lost, if you've been there enough (such as myself, who has been going to these spots since I was a little kiddo with my dad and brother) you'd know your way around the area blindfolded.
Anyways, thanks for your suggestions of what else to add! Much appreciated!
I'm thinking of doing another video that's what I would actually have with me on a long hike, or if I ended up in a survival situation. :0)
